It would seem someone very much dislikes me. All today I was thinking that the doman was moving registra - why the site was down. All the signs eg. Couldnt get mail.

Then about 10 min ago my host came on and told me how to access cpanel, now isnt that great, I see some AOL hostname as the last login...then the ball drops. I go to file manager, not public_html, nothing. No DB. Even worse, it seems they have magicaly altered the backup which when run, says it is corrupt.

Luckly I have all files localy and have a backup from 2 days ago of the DB. Not all is lost, but that just really pisses you off, why someone thinks it is a good to ruin other peoples work.

Also, what can I do with this hostname? contact AOL and get them shut off?

AOL wouldn't remove one of thier own customers, they don't care about anyone else just so long as they get money each month.

If you tried hard enough you could probably get contact details such as home address / phone number. Then its up to you what you do... :argue:
