well it was a teenager (15 yrs) which decided to HANG himself on my neighbors closeline..
he was hanging..
he would have died without the assistance of the neighbors who saw him..
i offered a cool cold rag for his forehea..
he accepted..
he's just a baby..
15.. and he was ready to 'check out' of here..
let's make 'here'
a better place..

DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:30 PM He's not a baby.
Baby <= 2yrs old
Toddler <= 6yrs old
Child <= 12yrs old
Teenager <=16
Young Adult <= 20yrs old
Adult < 60 yrs old
Senior Cit > 60 yrs old
But thats my opinion
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 07:33 PM yes he is..
he's 15 and he' a baby
i am the mother of 12 yr old beautiful child..
she too.. is just a baby
at 12 or 15 or even `17
they are still baby's
which know not..
how this evil world can suduce them..
DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:35 PM You must be really old if you think a 17 yr old is just a baby. I consider my 17yr old son a young adult. But like i said. its IMHO
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 07:36 PM goodluck with your ADULT SON
DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:38 PM never said he was an adult ;). Young adult is waaaaaaaaaaay differant then a straight up adult. But goodluck with your daughter :)
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 07:41 PM what's a young adult professor?
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 07:42 PM ' what kind of power/permissions are given to a young adult?
and when do they become an adult?
DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:48 PM I let him do whatever he wants. It's his last year before he moves out and is on his own, therefor, he should know how to do things himself and not depend on me and my wife.
DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:49 PM And ill also add, he's a wonderful son and practically never gets in trouble
web docta 08-10-2002, 07:52 PM Sorry to hear that. I just attended the funeral of an acquaintance two weeks ago. He was 56 and a successful lawyer and a really nice guy. He decided to jump off a building and end it all. He was struggling with depression for many years. He left a wife and two great kids who just graduated college a month ago. :(
DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 07:53 PM :(
My wife has depression. Never been able to get rid of it. I just hope and pray she never does anything like that.
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 08:03 PM love is the greatest gift.......
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 08:06 PM we're talkN about a baby.. 15yrs.

DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 08:07 PM We're madly in love, we just havn't been able to get rid of the depression.
web docta 08-10-2002, 08:08 PM My wife keeps in touch with his wife and the reality is just starting to hit the kids. At the funeral , it was like, everyone was saying how he was such a great guy and there was a lot of support but now after everything is over..... the kids are left with the realization that their dad is gone forever. They are having a really tough time dealing with it.
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 08:12 PM yes.. WEB..

DoobyWho 08-10-2002, 08:30 PM You just won't drop that will you :rolleyes:
Terrible.
I'll never understand depression.
I've been through a lot. Had an abusive spouse. Was almost murdered by a stalker. Most people would have gone crazy or checked out under some of my circumstances. I actually did think about it once. But instead, I just became more determined, enlightened, admitted responsablitiy for my actions and attitude, forgave myself and the others, and moved on.
Forgiving is not the same as forgetting.
15 years is just a baby in the grand scheme of things.
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 08:31 PM thanks.. all
the comfort is accepted..

ned patter 08-10-2002, 09:10 PM So are you saying i'm a baby?;) .
Teenagers are evil people and i'm sure when you get robbed one day you will change your mind and think of them as evil like i do as well as most people in this country.
You will find guys and girls that most people that hang themselves have just commited a crime and that's why they hang there self.

Yes they are babe's but you still get the odd ugly one. I'm the same as you like, i would rather kiss a 17 year old than a 40 year old.

I'm thinking of going on holiday to that place with the irish girls, i'll maybe even be moving there next year.
The place to find Irish holiday makers in Berwick the south of England is chemists well if you go into the store "drugs" that's the place they all go.
I was in this shop with my auntie and her boyfreind and then suddenly all these Irish girls start walking in and it was old people that worked in there and they got scared incase they robbed the shop and i said to the people working in there "There only Irish girls, there puppys" anyway with me being a bit hard they wouldn't have dared to start any trouble, not with me there, no way.
ned patter 08-10-2002, 09:47 PM Oh wait the shops called "super drugs" sorry.

No, I grew hair on my chest :cartman:
Techark 08-10-2002, 11:28 PM Site you are right they are just babies. I have a 26 year old daughter, a 27 year old son and a brand new baby 12 days old and they are all babies to me. Hell I am 46 and still a baby myself in the larger scheme of things.
Every life is precious, it is sad when someone gets to a point of taking a permant solution to temp problem.
Almost been there myself a few year back..
Sorry you had to witness that, hug your kids a little tighter and thank God everyday you have them in your life.
2Grumpy 08-11-2002, 05:50 AM He hung himself in broad daylight on a clothesline? It sounds more like a cry for attention and help than a true attempt at suicide. Now had he hung himself on that line at say, 2 AM when no one would catch him, that'd be a real suicide attempt. Sounds like to me he wanted some attention and perhaps be "forced" to get help with those things he apparently couldn't work out on his own. I've seen more than a few people do that sort of thing. Hopefully he'll get some help now and learn to cope.
DoobyWho 08-11-2002, 11:16 AM We all hope he gets the help he needs :(
