Aaah, it certainly does bring memories.

From that page I had the following:

- Commodore 64
- Commodore Vic20
- 1530 Datassette
- Commodore 64c
- 1541-II floppy drive
- GEOS

I also had a Commodore dot-matrix printer (not on the page). It had two interfaces - Commodore interface and a standard PC parallel interface.

I remember my neighbours having the Commodore 128D many years ago and me thinking how cool it was :D

I remember my friend had a Vic20 of which I was extremely jealous. We used to spend hours playing the very basic games available for it.

Then for Christmas I got a Commodore 64, and suddenly I was the one to be envious of.

He and I would spend entire weekends typing in programs out of a computer magazine. Thousands and thousands of lines of code, then we'd marvel at the way some pixellated character would make it's way across the screen.

Ahh those were the days. :)

Aah the memories... loading from the diskette.

And the tape drive.. I'd set it to load before dinner, and when I come back from dinner it would be nice and loaded ready to use :)

Yep, exactly this. I recall a block or a balloon moving from the left to the right (doesn't really matter which, you could barely tell what it was), whooooopie! Plus the floppy drive that was rather large and heavy, plus the tape drives (blazing speed there).

Macs that had 4inx4in screens were the best. They even had paint.

You had a floppy drive - now you were lucky.

I was stuck with the tape drive, and would sit there for an eternity waiting for things to load up.

The best game I ever had was "The Hobbit", an adventure game. Never got past about 15% of the way through, but it was pretty cool anyhow.

Not just one but three, due to the things being so unreliable! It actually wasn't the drive itself, the powersupplies for the drives were rather touchy.

Pfftt, commie 64. I had a Sinclair Research ZX Spectrum - then 128 then +2.

Commie graphics were so blocky...
