Tyson valued the 34-day-old chickens at around $56,000

More than $1,000 per bird? That doesn't seem right to me. And yet you're able to buy them at the store for a fraction of the cost.

I hope your customers are not billed the same way :D
55,000 birds totalling $56,000 that's a little over $1 a chicken.

Oh' my lord... I can't believe I typed that. I'm not even going to come up with an excuse...

Okay, so now they are selling the chickens really expensive (since they only cost a dollar each), yeah, that's what I meant... [takes hammer and smacks himself in the head a few times :smash: ] -- I feel better now. :uhh:

I loved that part about people whining about the smell.

They want to eat 'em but not be near where they're raised. How typical.

I've always maintained if you're not at least willing to kill it and clean it yourself you shouldn't be eating it :D

We used to raise rabbits for eating, people in the US really have a hard time with raising rabbits to eat, though rabbit hunting is a popular sport.

My sister's best friend in high school, her parents had 2 chicken houses. During the HOT summer months, it wasn't uncommon for them to collect 50 dead chickens a DAY out of their houses. And yep, it was pretty stanky over there, but hell man, those chickens gotta be raised SOMEWHERE.
