View Full Version : FastServers.net
FDrive 08-09-2002, 08:28 PM I got a server with FastServers.net (http://www.fastservers.net/) a week ago. Since they're a fairly new company, I didn't want to start off putting clients on a server with them, so I instead got a server with them to serve as a primary nameserver.
Since transferring DNS is very delicate and has the potential to put many clients in the dark, I kept constant communication with FastServers during the move. They answered all of my questions, helped me with problems, and assisted in the move with speed, professionalism, and patience. Even late at night my tickets were being answered within an hour.
I can't really speak about their uptime as I have only been with them for a week, but the network hasn't had any problems yet. I had been monitoring their network for around a month prior to signing up as well.
I was uneasy going with them at first because of how new they were, at least to the WHT scene, but when I get my next server, it will be with confidence.
I have no doubt that if they can keep their service as good as it is right now, they will eventually become one of the major players in the dedicated server market.
Highly reccommended :)
baygirl 08-09-2002, 09:41 PM That's so awesome to hear!! I am about to jump into the hosting arena and I have narrowed it down to them. I can't wait until they have servers again! :)
Incognito 08-09-2002, 09:50 PM Fastservers.net may be new as a website, but nothing new about the company, which is Powersurge.com. They have been around for quite a while.
ReliableServers 08-09-2002, 10:22 PM Just curious as to how moving one of your nameservers could put people in the "dark" unless you dont have your dns on 2 servers.

I thought FastServers was a separate company created by Powersurge? Either way, they've got a great service.

Samuel 08-10-2002, 03:54 AM I just wish they would learn what a damned BCC field is for.

Samual, you were asked twice in this thread
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=482977#post482977
to please provide some useful feadback and more information to the benefit of the reader as to your experience and why you have come to your view of fastservers. So, if you are only going to bitch every time fastservers is mentioned I don't think your words are going to count for much.
Samuel 08-10-2002, 04:22 AM And who the heck are you? It's SamuEl
If you don't like my information, you are very welcome to put me on ignore.
What I choose to post is solely my business, so deal with it.
You can overgeneralize my comments by calling it bitching but seriously you don't know what bitching is if you think TWO FREAKING POSTS are "ALways bitching"
Get lost idget.
JDMundo 08-10-2002, 06:45 AM Samuel,
With all due respect, its not fair to Fastservers or other WHT members that you contribute with such negative feedback on a host, and then refuse to give us the background information, to judge if your complaints really are valid.
Please elaborate on your comments on Fastservers, or refrain from badmouthing them -- that's only reasonable.
freakysid 08-10-2002, 07:57 AM SamuEl, what information? You haven't given us any information. you just state opinion and won't back it up with any information.
Regards
Idget
zdwebhosting 08-10-2002, 08:36 AM /me kind of currious why the negative feedback too i've heard only good about fastservers

A balance of positive and negative posts would be a true indication of their performance. Hardly anything is all positive.
Samuel 08-10-2002, 11:36 AM Freakysid mentioning another thread is just trying to throw this thread's topic off.
My comment in this thread about the BCC field is very clear, I don't know why you need to pry into why I say anything.
If a vendor sends notices out, use the BCC field for all their customers, not the TO:
What do you not understand about that, and what is your agenda against me saying I am always bashing them by simply mentioning something as simple as "Use the damned bcc field"
They are on this board, they get it.
My comment might not even pertain to you so I have no clue where you are coming from, in the same respect I'm not sure what you don't understand about the use of the BCC field.

OIC - cool, no I didn't understand the first time you posted. Now I know where you are coming from. My only interest is, as always, as a potential dedi customer.
fastserver- are they really good?
I've sent them a enquiry and they've not response for 3 hours
Samuel 08-10-2002, 02:58 PM Have you tried calling them? lol 3 hours is infinitely small for a sales internet contact.
calling them?! even before using them............
I seriously have to think about using them!
Samuel 08-10-2002, 03:11 PM huh? Ok, when you land on this planet and realize that phone contact has been the primary means compared to the internet it will hit ya lol
barking 08-24-2002, 09:00 PM Hi and to anyone thinking of trying Fastservers I can personally recommend them.
I have had a server with them for over a month with no problems what so ever.
They have been very quick to answer any questions and I know just how busy they were at the time.
Well done Fastservers keep up the good work
.
:)
I've ordered mine but.........................
Will definitely feedback shortly.........................
