Buy Absinthe

Hello,

I've been trying to get my website
buy-absinthe-alcohol.com on google's first page, but for some reason it just doesn't work.

Every time it comes near 11, it slips back to 15 and above.

Can any one tell me what should I try?

have robust pages with good keyword densities, alt tags on images(matters little, but still), and of course as many [good quality] sites linking to you as possible.

We have been getting reciprocal links for the last 3 years.
3 months back we started paid links and directory submissions.

google don't like "paid links" as per Matts cutts. Do the site promotion slow and steady, if you over promote (get too much back link in short time) it will be a problem. I have a site with good ranking (4th for the keyword), i do lot of SEO (link exchange, submission) now the site is not in first page. I think it caused due to over promotion.

I don't think that!

Too much is not good (as spam with un-relate contents). But "more" may helpful!

When your SERP dropped?

Relevant links are helpful; "link networks" and the like can get you pushed to the bottom of the search results.

It's a fine line, so tread carefully. Google is cracking down on "illegitimate" SEO far more than they once did.

Isn't that type of alcohol illegal in some country?

Link building is the key to maintain and improve on your SERP. Quality and targeted backlinks will do good in your keyword position and for your sites PR as well.

Also your content must change, SE should see the changes to consider your web site as developing one and gives you pluces.
Anyway I think that you have to remember that Web sites is for users not for Search Engines.

Quickest way to gain higher rankings is Google is:

#1 Link to relevant websites. But in doing this, have them place your link near relevant content. That is a strong plus.

#3 Change your Title to utilize the keywords you want to be found on the first page.

#4 Create a blog section preferably within the first click of your mainpage. Use a blogspot.com (Google loves it) and set it up to use your external domain

#5 Create fresh content that utilizes your keywords. Having new content put up on your website weekly, is very helpful.

If you continue down this path for a month or so, you will see quick improvements.

#6: Submitd to free (or paid if want fast ranking) directories!

This will help more in moving up on SERPs

As said by others:

On topic backlinks
Content
Updates
Domain age
Solid SEO

I'd add your domain name and TLD have a bit to do with it too.

Toolbar PageRank is only exported fresh every 3 months or so. So it will take that long (or longer) AFTER google sees links to your website, before you cn expect to see any toolbar PR movement.

Directory Recap is a huge database of free and paid directories, sortable by a number of ways.

MrCat

I suggest that you focus more on relevant postings on "dofollow" blogs with high PR as most directories are "nofollow" and PR aren't passed on. Directory helps you rank in SERP though so long as you submit your site in the most apt category.

nuclei
02-08-2008, 01:27 PM
Actually in real practice, 90% of the directories out there are not "nofollow" and 90% of the blogs out there ARE "nofollow" as the blog software has rel=nofollow on by default and not many have changed it, and very few directory software platforms have it set to nofollow by default. Directories are the better alternative between those 2 choices still.

Almost every site gets number one spot when google crawls if you search for your exact website address.

1) read Google's webmaster recommendations and follow there rules.
2) Create interesting content and a Google sitemap.
3) Inbound Links (with key words) and social bookmarks
4) Investigate every SEO expert ( Don't listen to anyone who themselves is not in a top position for there own search terms )
5) Have a variety of search terms at top positions ( Don't concentrate on one term ).
