The length of the free accounts depend on when you signup.

The first person gets 1 free month.
The second gets 2 free months.
The third gets 3 free months.
The fourth gets 4 free months.
The fifth gets 5 free months.
The sixth gets 6 free months.

Then it repeats. Our signup page will tell you if there are still any free accounts.

Because Brevig Hosting does not provide standard packages, and instead charges by usage, each month is considered a $5 deposit into your "Funds Account." Each month, money will be deducted from the Funds Account based on usage. So a small account with 2 free months could actually last 4 months.

Why the first person sigup gets 1 free month but the sixth get 6 free months? Unfair to first person who know this offer??

This way more people get free accounts. If we provided everyone with 6 free months then we couldn't give away 30. I haven't seen this method used before for hosting, so we are trying a new marketing techinque for hosting. :)

JC Penny does similar for their sales...so I've been told. You receive a promotional ticket in the mail. Then, when you go to the store you scratch off the covering to see how much you save (30-60%). Similar idea. Let's see how it works. ;)

Yes, this is domain hosting, so you need one. We do not currently provide IP/subdomain (on our domain) hosting.
