I'm curious... Can a hosting "company" operate without actually being incorporated?

Hosting (and web design/development) are considered professional services like a lawyer, accountant, engineer, doctor etc. As such the services are performed by an individual, not the corp. So if an engineer makes a bad design that gets someone hurt, he/she can be sued even if their business ins a corp or LLC. There are other business reseasons for being a corp or LLC (like seperation of lines of credit from person to business) but protection unfortunately isn't one of them. :( |
