Why is it that August always has to be a bad month for my health/general well-being?

I've been suffering severe viral bronchitis for the last two weeks, and now I get a horrible facial...!

On Tuesday night, I was at baseball training - to cut a long story short, there was a miscommunication between one of the guys and myself; he threw the ball at me when I wasn't looking, and I copped a rocket in the face, just below the right eye.

I ended up being driven to hospital with blood over all my face - spent 6 hours in the emergency dept. (Monash Med. Centre for the Melbournians) - got x-rays done and face was patched up. Thankfully, nothing's broken or fractured, just the worst black eye in the world and a huge gash that will take years to heal. Argh!! :(

(I've lost count of the no. of times I've had to explain it to my friends and bearing the brunt of their jokes... (Have you been in a fight?? Did you walk into a door??)) :angry:

OK, now that I got that out of my system, how's everyone else doing? :D Hope you're all doing better than I am... :o

More proof that a "life offline" is not a good thing.

This sentence? I'm concerned now as the only time I ever see 'facial' mentioned on a website it's one I wouldn't let kids see. :D

Sorry to hear about the hit to the head there BC. With that and viral bronchitis I don't think anyone would mind you having a bit of a whine. Being sick isn't fun, and hurting at the same time is worse.

Something similar here, but with a much lesser extent.

Two weeks ago, I decided to go outside at least one time during this holiday. So I went to a swimming pool with my cousins. I caught a cold and have been sick since then. I better stay at home :o

Chicken's right: WHT is safer. I've never been hit in the face with a monitor or had my eye put out by a PM. :D

Quite frankly it is much safer to stay inside (and be back at WHT), but I'm heading out to support my team on the other side of the city later this afternoon... Am I a glutton for punishment or what?? :rolleyes:

Martie: actually, this is the second near-accident in my life with regards to my right eye - I still have the remnants of 6 stitches right next to my right eye all the way back from another little accident (got nailed by the bottom of a chair leg at a restaurant when I was still crawling around).

Alchiba: tell Chicken to be slightly less efficient - he beats me to most of the reports...!

Lats: why am I not surprised you're the one thinking of that? ;)
