Small webhosting company looking to exit out of the industry. Company has been in business for 3.5 years as a small single person enterprise. Aprox. 130 sites located on two leased servers. One RaQ3 ($255 mo.) and One RaQ2 ($260 mo.) each hosted with a different company (Verio & Catalog.com). Last years revenue was $15,000.00.

Looking to make transfer as easy as possible for clients. If needed will sell company name and website to make transfer seamless to prevent loss of customers. About 50% of the customer base has been with the company for more than two years. Almost no advertising as customer base has grown from mostly referrals. Highly regarded as a customer service based web host.

Now what happens if you pay him for his clients and they decide to leave, what do you end up with? Nothing, that would be my fear.

That's why a smart buyer specifies that the purchase price is contingent upon a certain percentage of clients staying for at least 60 or 90 days.

I'd have to stay away from this one.
