Does anyone know how someone goes about writing a book? I mean. Not HOW to write a book, lol. But how do you send it to a publisher? What format? How much does it usually cost?

There's a really excellent book called "Writer's Market," which is put out every year and details formatting, current editor addresses and things of that nature.
