OK, so we all know CPU power doubles every 18 months. But what about bandwidth? How quickly are prices falling? When can we expect to be paying $1 for bandwidth overages?

RAM doubles every 18 months.
MFLOPS doubles every 18 months.
Disk space doubles every 12 months.
Bandwidth doubles every 9 months.

Every 9 months, you say? Now that I like the sound of :) This time next year, all my troubles will be solved!

Don't forget loads more people will have cable and xDSL and be downloading huge files off the web. So all you users will be using more up.

Unfortunately:
Operating system size doubles.
Number of bugs doubles.
Size and resolution of images double.
Size of games doubles.
Number of sites using Flash doubles.
Number of spammers doubles.
Number of people posting on discussion forums doubles.
Number of flame wars quadruples.

Or so it seems.
