Hey guys,

I realized (after purchasing a dedicated server) that I just dont have enough time on my hands to run a web hosting business. I have decided to sell my doman along with my design (with flash intro and logo).

The domain is http://www.people-host.com

Along with the purchase, I will also help design the rest of the site as well as edit the flash intro or logo (as needed).

******EDIT******

Highest bidder wins. Bidding will end on the 12th.

Thanks! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me at justin@snyph.com (use subject "WHT Domain for sale" because I get a lot of spam and I dont want to accidentally delete any offers :D )

Very simple layout, but clean and attractive, although I don't care for the domain I bid $15.

domain is worth $6.95 (wholesale) so you're bidding $13.05 for the design?

Um, yes. Note that I did not say that I will OFFER him $15, I said I BID $15. You see, this is usually how an "auction" works. I BID a low price, and someone can OUTBID me with a higher price. The cycle continues, the price goes up.

Am I suppose to automatically bid $500 to ensure that I get the template?

Naw, usually the way "auctions" work here on WHT is people post a resonable offer to start out with

Check your math. I'm actually bidding $8.05 for the design.

Now, you all seem to love coming to this board complaining about everyone else and their prices/bids, so why not throw in a bid yourself? Who cares if you don't need it? Neither do I.

I didn't think so ;)

Anyways, I'm not cheap. I'm more than willing to spend $200+ on a template (1000+ for a full design with content, but I wouldn't do that since I can do all that myself). I spent $120 on one not long ago (one that was worth more, but this was his price). I just don't see the fun or competition in coming and saying, straight out, "I'll give you $150 for that design" when it's an AUCTION (or so one would assume by the use of the word "bid"). You start small and grow. At least that's the way it always seemed to be as far as I know.

Im just curious, how much do you guys think the domain and design is worth?

hoster

I wrote you a PM and you didn't return me a reply.
What is the problem with replying to my questions I asked you about the deal here?
I also bid you $40 and I don't see anyone else bidding here.

Remember JustinF I could go and get people-host.net for $6.95 for the domain and make the template, so I think I am giving you deal here.

First explain the domain record why you have it setup that why.

Yes, I find it kind of funny myself that you put false contact info on your domain. Not even a contact name let alone a phone or address. Just "N/A." What, you don't have a name?

hoster
08-09-2002, 08:39 PM
You have nothing to fall back on if some thing goes wrong here with the deal.

He also doesn't return any PM's either sent 2 so far and he has sent another post since so I no he read it.

Well JUSTINF you can cancel my Bid of $40 since you can't follow thru with replying to messages or posts here.

Good like with your auction here I made you a good bid for what you offering.

Also after checking your domain record that really turned me off.

So have a great day...

I bid. But I got bitched at :stickout

The contact info thing is kind of strange, never even thought about checking it. So what's up with it, JustinF?

hoster

Well I didn't check either tell I made the bid and I just wanted to see who and where it was from and the network he was on.

Well I went and purchased the .net for $7.95 I can make the template easy enough to go with it or purchase one from the some one here on WHT like I have done before many times.

Richard Junek :) :) :)

Well JUSTINF I hope you sell it, maybe if you would have just SOME info on your domain name record would help but nothing but NA just don't do it.

Hey,

I think you guys are getting a little ahead of yourselves. First of all, I was waiting to incorporate people-host before I added real contact info. Please remember, the site IS NOT live, why do I need to put contact info for a site that no one will see?

Sorry about the PMs, I'm not a board junky so I didnt realize I even had any messages, its not like people PM me a lot :D

Really? I don't know what WHT you read but the one I browse has auctions that usually start out at a low bid.

Told you so DoobyWho :stickout

I bid $60 - you said it ends August 12th, right? Good, because if I win I won't have money to pay for this until then anyway.

I think justin was understandably hoping for more. Come on it is not just a design, it is domain aswell and includes a flash introduction!

I was going to make a bid here but he most have unloaded it all ready.

Oh will I got the people-host.net domain which I wanted.

It would of been nice to get the .com and the template too but oh well.

I recieved an offer through email today well above the high bid, and if all goes through (meaning I get the money), then the site is officiallysold, however, I'm not to sure whether or not the buyer is legit or not.
