Use that little search button at the top like I did for this host.
I find out the best way to check on a host is to read their forums:
http://www.lunarforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Well, maybe not the best, but a good tool to help me find out how they are doing.

Why ask? You can't discuss it in this forum anyway. Good bump though. ;)

One of my friends is hosted with them and he has not encountered any problems with them since (June 2002).

Just signed up with them last week. Really to early to tell. First impression: speed fine. support is ok. Don't really seem to want to do too much out of the ordinary for you. If you find what you need in their "off the shelf" packages you will probably be happy with them. Other folks I have talked to seem satisfied with the service.

In the last week I have had a few trial accounts set up at CF Networks, Indoglobal and Smartweb. So far I have been most happy with CF Networks and LunarPages. This mostly due to the robustness of the packages. ASP, PHP, and multiple FTP accounts. Lots of tools.

Time will tell.

What do you mean by "Don't really seem to want to do too much out of the ordinary for you".

I do not think we can talk about that in this forum. If I am wrong someone please let me know.

However, in short, I requested a few things that required some tweaking of the standard PHP settings. There did not seem to be much interest in doing that for me. Perhaps for good reason.

Nontheless, I believe there is good value in the packages. Good enough that I plunked down my cold hard cash to be able to check out the quality of service. So far , so good.

Again I say, time will tell.

I will just give one comment on that.

Because it is a shared evironment, its hard to do the changes you requested without affecting someone else as well.

I guess you are the one that wanted the serveral hour long timeout :)

Other than that we are pretty flexible.

I will shut my mouth now :) And let other people speak.
