Hi,

I have looked in the Paypal help center and can't find anything in there.

I have also logged into my account and look under send/request money but it doesn't say anything there either.

Think I will email Paypal and ask them

Transaction Fees for Domestic Payments - United Kingdom (https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-receiving-fees)

Up to £1500.00 per month sales
3.4% plus £0.20
As far as I can see you would need to charge at least £0.21 and you would receive £0.00 after fees, or £0.22 and receive £0.01

However, you can create an invoice for £0.01
You could only receive this money if you have £0.21 in your account to cover the fee

It is the same formula with all the currency. You have to charge the fees as a minimum.

I think that in the past, and I'm not sure why, I've sent 1 cent (USD balance) and the fee was only 1 cent for the person who received it. That might be incorrect or they could have added a minimum since.

If you intend on having mainly low payments, have a look at Paypal Micropayments as the fee should work out to be cheaper.

paypal probably charges $0.5US minimum transaction fee; I am not sure about UK. You can probably submit a ticket to them http://www.paypal.co.uk/uk

direct link would be: https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=H6zY3fxyr7nMrVvDv2y5Dg9kmKvNlZcJD6pFzGMBVhNPCq0z0dv0!2099282324?t=escalateTab&cmd=_help&locale=en_US&countrycode=GB

I've to sent £0.01 and was charged a £0.01, so in the end, the recipient didn't get nothing.

For a 1p refund, I'd have stuck it in an envelope and sent it Second Class delivery
