I am so new to php & MySQL I need help in completing a project.
It's a Community site in which I want to have the following.
1...Welcome page invites newbie to Register by requesting a)Valid email address and b)User Name
2...Newbie is then made a member and is sent Log in details ie Account # and password then directed back to site to activate
3...Uses new account details to Log In and is directed to main site [next page]
4...All member details auto entered into database for later management and emailing newsletters etc.
As I said my knowledge of php.MySQL = zilch and I realise that what I want is probably kindergarten level stuff but I don't have a clue.
I can code HTML 3.2 and 4.0 - Server is Linux and supports both php and MySQL
