View Full Version : Accepting credit cards...................................
jellyerole 08-08-2002, 05:38 PM I need a company that will allow me to accept credit cards for my upcoming hosting company. I need it to send the money I get through the mail, not to my credit card accout. And I don't want it to be a solid monthly fee either. Are there any companies that can do this?
p1net 08-08-2002, 05:44 PM Take a look @ 2checkout.com (http://2checkout.com) !! I use them and I am quite happy with their services.
Aussie Bob 08-08-2002, 06:04 PM http://Revecom.com [Paysystems.com] is a good service too. We process thousands of dollars a month through them and with hardly no problems at all. :)
tensixteen64 08-10-2002, 10:18 AM I have been looking at 2checkout.com as well. How long have you been with them RFhost? Was there a long wait to set up? Did you have to fax them anything? What about out of the USA fund fees?
:) Thanks,
Sara
babarami 08-10-2002, 10:26 AM Hi guys
I will recommed 2checkout.com I have now 5 accounts with them, no need to fax anything, very easy to implement, very good support, i am outside usa and i got the wire within 3 to 5 days from issuing it each 15 days
SiteTutor 08-10-2002, 10:47 AM be glad to assist you !
sasjamal 08-10-2002, 11:34 AM If you are in the USA, I would reccomend that you get your own Merchant Account: http://www.authorize.net/
Hello,
We have been with Revecom.com [ http://www.revecom.com ] and they are pretty good. Their discount rates are very low compare to others and there's no monthly fee.
Discount rate: % 3.99
Transaction fee: US$ 1.00
One time setup fee: US$ 75.00
internext 08-10-2002, 06:03 PM Why does everyone seem to say Revecom is so good AND cheap? Is it just me being silly to think $1.00 transaction fee is HUGE?
Example: At $10 the transaction fee alone is 10%! Add to that the 3.99% and you have just paid them 14% to process your transaction! And for the pleasure of being charged so steeply you have to pay them a $75 setup fee?? Respectfully, what the heck am I missing here?
I say go to HostCharge and pay NO setup or monthly fee and 8%, comparatively....
(this is NOT experienced advise... I am looking too... revecom always looks good but then loses me when I see that huge transaction fee, and I wondered why no one ever seems to bring that up)
Thanks
Eric
EzSnake 08-10-2002, 07:49 PM From what I'm personally told (and reason I'm going w/ Them)
is the Fraud Protection is far superior! Hence worth the money ;)
megagente 08-10-2002, 07:56 PM You are right. I saw revecom is too expensive for small hosting services. For example if you charge a client $3.50 a month less $1.00= $2.50 - 3.99%= $2.40
Too much.
With hostcharge= $3.50 - $.40= $3.10
The .40 cents is applied when the 8% is less than .40 cents
With 2checkout= $3.50 - 5.5%= $3.30 - $.45= $2.85
Still you get more than revecom
tensixteen64 08-10-2002, 11:03 PM I agree Eric, it's high. I have looked into about 12 or so today. I keep on going back to 2checkout.com
Who uses them and how is their track record? Any problems with refunds or chargebacks being processed?
How long have you been with them?
:) Sara
Benjamin 08-10-2002, 11:47 PM Everyone thinking about going with 2checkout or revecom, you might want to explore around the forums a bit. Click on "search" and search for 2checkout or revecom in the search box. Be sure you only select this forum, since most of the other forums don't talk much about credit card processors.
There are many people who think both companies are terrible, while there are many people who say they are both great companies. One company that hasn't had one negative comment about (except one that I found in the forum) is authorize.net.

megagente 08-11-2002, 01:14 PM Sometimes poeple says they suck, then another says he has 5 accounts with no problem. I think it depends on luck and what you do with them.
2checkout.com get my vote. I like them, mainly because of their fast wire transfers.
