Incognito 08-08-2002, 01:51 PM OK....let's see....per telemarketer... 20 dials per hour @ 40 hrs....800 dials... Reach decision maker....200 Interested in discussing service.....10 Sales.....2 Cost 40X$10 = $400 Profit on Avg Sale=$100/month.... Cost per sale =$200..... Could pay. Corrected some logic as Chicken flapped his wings and woke me up. Chicken 08-08-2002, 11:10 PM Originally posted by Incognito Avg Sale=$20/month.... They are selling dedicated servers, not $20/mo accounts would be my guess, as they mostly sell deds. Jag 08-08-2002, 11:19 PM Maybe they are reaching for sales...perhaps having trouble making ends meet? Incognito 08-08-2002, 11:28 PM Their bubble has certainly burst. And, unfortunately, all of their own accord. They had the facility, the connectivity and the control panel/management system. However, pricing became less and less competitive, support worsened, and, ultimately, they showed a total disregard for their customers and the businesses of their customers. After seeing some of their moves when departures have been announced, I am appalled anyone chooses to continue with them. What a shame. Acroplex 08-08-2002, 11:37 PM Funny...we were considering them for hosting of a national ISP network, in 2000. They never returned any emails or phonecalls. Times change :D Jag 08-08-2002, 11:38 PM Didnt they release their control panel to the public to try and bring in more revenue? okihost 08-08-2002, 11:56 PM Yes they were on my list of this weeks phone"spam" along with a couple hosting directorys and my daily long distance "deals" :D cant wait till massachusetts gets the nocall list in january. 2Grumpy 08-09-2002, 02:55 AM Yep they called me too. I kept 'em on the phone well over 30 minutes. Wonder how quota went for the poor sop who had the luck to get my number? Incognito 08-09-2002, 01:15 PM They do offer it now to those outside their center, but at a price that is quite prohibitive. |
