Hi,

I am a beginner... Just signed with Downtownhost (great service) and I am building a website with the RVwebsite builder they provide. They provide a lot of softwares with Fantastico.
I'd like to add a registration process and a forum where registers could post comments and edit info that will be in the forum - I'd like info to be divided by state and then cities.
Am i gonna be able to find these services in one of the software in Fantastico (I'll copy/paste the list of them at the end of the msg)? If yes, I have no idea how to use them. how do I add these services to the website I am building? I know pretty much how to upload them from DTH and fantastico, but after how to use them?
I may even want to use more of these software available if only I knew how it worked...
ANY comments, advices etc would be SO welcome. I am new to it and learning, don't hesitate to be very basic...
Thank you to anyone who can help :)

The list (from Fantastico)

If you need to use forums look at phpBB and SMF - watch out for the version of phpBB that fantastico installs they have recently released version3, version2 is old and insecure so I wouldn't advise using it.

Before you install anything head over the http://www.opensourcecms.com because you can play with SMF and phpBB3 as a user and administrator, this may help you decide if you want to use any of them.

Take time to learn about what forums do, and how to administer them. A good place is the forum developers sites where you'll find tons of documentation and of course user forums!

Lastly if you're not sure how to use Fantastico drop your host a support ticket - they don't normally offer technical support but should help you get one of them installed (using fantastico).
