AeonCube 12-20-2007, 06:35 AM Well linux reseller hosting I do not think you will have a problem finding a provider on here, just check the offers area and I am sure you will find something that will suit you.
With windows I guess you are looking for a Plesk cp... You might need to do some searches on google etc for one but agin you can check here and should be able to find one :D
~ServerPoint~ 12-20-2007, 06:46 AM I have seen several companies offering both, but I think that you'd better separate them. I think that you have keep accounts with different providers, more for the security issues.
PremiumHost 12-20-2007, 08:05 AM Just curious, what kind of security issues you may have with a provider offering windows hosting and linux hosting?
Will that apply to dedicated server providers as well?
Softsys Hosting 12-20-2007, 08:44 AM My advise will be to choose a host who specializes or has a good track record in providing platform specific web hosting.
Did you checked the offers section? I am sure you can grab one there.
Good luck!
IH-Rameen 12-20-2007, 10:57 AM Wow, looks like everyone is signature spamming here..Good job all for pointing out the obvious :)
@HansonsPakistan: Cartikahosting.com offers dual hosting platforms. The price will be higher, but I bet its justified with the service.
Here is a LINK (http://www.cartikahosting.com/clustered-hsphere-hosting/Hsphere-Ultimate-Reseller-Hosting/)to their dual hosting page. I believe they use H-Sphere as the control panel.
pls check ur mail ....
Why, did you send an offer?

Even I suggest an H-Sphere Reseller Account through which you can sell both Windows and Linux packages.
I'd recommend Jodohost.com
Been with them for a few years now and so far the ship is sailing smoothly.

Seems so... :D

Yogesh Sarkar 12-21-2007, 07:14 AM For linux check out Knownhost, good uptime and support.
Mikey this way! 12-21-2007, 07:18 AM Well, you have a point about getting a host who specialises in an area but, I think we can make an exception out of JodoHost.com
I've been hosting both Windows and Linux websites on their servers for a couple of years and I see that they are doing a decent Job.
AFAIK, they support both the environments pretty good.

Question: Why can't a company with multiple employees specialise in two environments?
My follow-up question to that would be: Why wouldn't a company with multiple staff members be able to specialise in two different operating systems?
I don't quite understand the logic that someone should go to "linux specialists" and a separate "Windows specialist" in order to get both Platforms. There's many companies who excel in both environments. How about just going to a company that specialises in dual or multi platform hosting? That can be a specialty, right?
One would hope and imagine that a good company would have employees that are skilled and qualified enough to operate under many environments and/or operating systems.

Sounds about right Simon that is why you have two different types of groups on staff more than jack of all trades people as well ;)
