paypal is not real merchant account provider, plus you will be limited selling services/goods to clients that can use Paypal...

Yup! I want to know which to use too - I think I would go with WorldPay(.com) because it is worldwide therefore accepts loads of different credit cards which is cool, because hardly any hosts accept Solo and they should! Hehehe, but I need to know more about it.

We use Worldpay and they have been good. Good admin features to. And yes, they (and we) accept Solo debit cards. Other merchant providers include Secpay, Data cash, Netbanx and Secure Trading so maybe one of those may be suitable also.

Paypal seems reliable.. We have referred people to them forever. Seems nowadays though, 2checkout.com is the thing to checkout..;)

jhcashman - Is this their Web Accept feature? What's the catch (i.e. requirements)? I've been looking for an affordable way to accept CC payments from my website. I don't have a business, but I need it for service payments and eBay. :) The only issue I have with PayPal is that buyers have to be members. It looks like that's not the case from your post. Please confirm. :)
Thanks!
Jessica :)

2checkout has been very good for me.
Although, I like people to pay with paypal (just easier), I do have a 2checkout account setup that does all my recurring charges and also some other stuff.
Cost me a onetime fee of $50 to signup and I think they take a percentage of what I make... not bad considering it took a couple minutes to setup.
THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT 2CHECKOUT IS THEY GO BEHIND YOUR BACK 2 WEEKS AFTER AN ORDER AND CONTACT YOUR CLIENTS WITH A SURVEY... NOT A GOOD THING. BE WARNED ABOUT THIS. :bawling:
Honestly though :D Not bad at all.

Don’t forget Revecom a.k.a Paysystems :D I have been with them a couple of weeks and they have been great so far, support is via a ticket system, live help (questions are answered instantly via live help) and via the telephone, the staff is really helpful! They should be bringing out an updated version of their control panel which is something to look forward to. :stickout

I just got Revecom's sales person sent me forms.
However I see something on here that intigues me.
First they have area for credit reff's (makes me wonder why no other 3rd party requires this)
Secondly they say at bottom that acceptance is not guaranteed.
I imagine this is due to credit check?
Any ideas on how strict their standards are?
