what about www.worldpay.com?

Yes, even i was wondering about worldpay.com, i hear worldpay is most flexible as 2checkout would not let you change your package prices? Is this true?

Also, pls tell me from your experiences which cc processor a web host must use, of course keeping into mind disocunt rates, security, flexibility and reluability.

Also, what i gather from paypal is they are the cheapest and i can see their discount rates are the cheapest amogst all listed above.

Pls let me know as to why one should not prefer paypal over the more commercial looking cc providers.

as for us we cant use paypal in our country, but worldpay can be integrated and customized in many ways, and everything runs at their servers good security, many AVS that helps to avoid fraud

I wish somebody had posted that list of links a few months back, it would have saved me a lot of time...

I would go with Hostcharge if I were you as they are one of the few processors that don't charge you a small fortune to setup, remain fairly anonymous and allow you to charge in Euros. If the exchange rate with the dollar is good you can actually make a profit from the transaction :D
However, if you want to charge very small amounts by credit card, the only feasible one on the list would be PayPal at the moment, or possibly iBill.

Have you added support for Irish customers to withdraw money to an Irish bank account yet?

Hi blacknight,

No, not yet. We are looking into expanding bank account withdrawals to as many countries as we can, but I do have to add that it takes a lot of work.

Is the funds availability in your country an issue behind all people who suggest not to go with paypal or are there any other iussues as well?

Paypaldamon, your list includes India, does it mean that you will wire money to any indian bank a/c or any particular bank? Os is just a check?

Though India is listed in PayPal's list of countries, it isn't actually supported - unless something has changed recently.

You are unable to add an Indian bank to your account, making it useless.

What about ibill.com ?

08-15-2002, 07:23 PM
Hi dsj,

You are correct. PayPal users in India can't withdraw to a local (India) bank account. However, they could have an account to draw to a US bank.

ibill.com is very expensive

It's the same for Irish users. How can I get an acccount in the US as a non-resident? Is it possible?

Dennis, revecom looks very good, we might think of switching after talking to their sales and see some demos. Thanks :)

2checkout says they will soon be offering U.S. bank accounts to their clients at a very reasonable price, something like $20 or something. I forget the exact details, but you can find it on their forums.

I'm not sure if you could then use that account for other things (like a paypal account, merchant account, etc.). You could write them to find out.

International users can check out a list of US banks at www.fdic.gov (I can't make recommendations).
