I am trying to find images of people working w/ computers without a background. Similar to the images on
http://www.akashik.net/
I have seen hundreds of these images on the web. I know you can buy a CD like Photo-Objects with the images but I only need one. I will never use a complete CD full of images. Does anyone know where I can purchase single images of this type?
Thanks.

http://rubberball.com has some truly unbelievable images. They're not too pricey for single downloads either.

lmao, I almost %&*& when I saw it :D
You can check http://www.corbis.com as well. They have a deal where you buy 4 single images as a pack at a discount. Reasonable too -- around $12/per web-use photo and $18/per print-use photo.

http://images.google.com = FREE
Just make sure you ask the owner of the image first before using them as your own. 9 times out of 10, they'll allow you.
I agree with timechange, GettyImages is probably the best source for stock photos.
... And it seems that RubberBall.com is down at the moment.

Just saw this thread. :)
That guy is off the Hemera CD's. Hemera also offers this:
http://www.graphicsdesk.com/
where you can buy images one at a time if you wish. Might be what you're looking for.
