I have a client who is asking me to setup a paypal shopping cart for him, what he is requesting is that based on where the customer is ordering the item to he would like the sales tax for that state added to the total.
Does paypal have anything like this setup? I did some searching on the paypal site with no luck. Figured I would ask here before sending in an email to them which usually takes 3-4 days minimum.

Hi,
I did a quick search and found the link below on PayPal that explains their Shipping & Sales Tax setup. Hope it helps.

Thank you, it did not give much info so it looks like I am going to have contact them :)

Hah, could luck with that. At least their wait times on the phone have been over 30 minutes just to get someone with very little more information than what's on the paypal website with NO power what so ever.

Hi,
From the looks of the link I sent you to setup the taxes for your paypal shopping cart you first must have a Premier or Business account. Then you login and go to Profile and then click Sales Tax.
After this it should take you to the sales tax section where you can set rates based on Zip Codes, Countries(for international buyers) or create different rates for States/Provinces/Territories for your country. Pretty simpy:).
