Matrix 03-07-2001, 05:33 AM http://www.camouflagemail.com/ theres a script there that you can use Duster 03-07-2001, 10:11 AM Thanks, but I've been there, tried that. It does not work as headers still disclose the sender. It is just a modified version of formmail. That's why I asked for a service, not a script akashik 03-07-2001, 10:20 AM Duster, Planning on letting a few thousand people know about your great deal on Viagra? :) just kidding Greg Moore Duster 03-07-2001, 12:34 PM Uuhhh, wise guy. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. Just a single message where anonymity protects from assumptions by others. pyng 03-07-2001, 03:14 PM If your needs for anonymity aren't too high, you might want to take a look at sneakemail.com. Their primary purpose isn't anonymous e-mail, but they're useful for other things, and the double-blind mail forwarding provides some anonymity. Otherwise, try searching for cypherpunk remailer, or something like that... Dylan 03-07-2001, 03:32 PM I hate anonymous scripts period!!! One of my clients had camouflage mail and it was subject to much abuse (and spam) that even the Davie police contacted me to help them on a case. I am very weary of people that want to and use anonymous mailers... need i say more? Duster 03-07-2001, 03:47 PM There are legitimate uses for anynymous remailers as there are reasons for remaining anonymous. I received spam from a company named zwallet.com. If you go to their site, they have anti-spam policies listed, even an abuse @ address for reporting it. However, the spam was sent directly from their server, which makes them seem hypocritical and also serves as a reminder of Rule # 1 (Spammers lie). E-mailing anonymously to report them can achieve the desired result of reporting abuse while not confirming a working address. There are other valid reasons where anonimity is prudent. Dylan 03-07-2001, 03:49 PM Oh funny, I didn't read your post Matrix, until now. "RE: One of my clients had camouflage mail" I believe, I should say my client was the owner of http://www.comouflagemail.com and he was running the script off one of my servers and believe me Duster, the way it was setup the headers did not disclose the sender. As all of you would of noticed, the anon script no longer functions, you have to download it. I deleted the script from my clients domain because of all the sh!t that it caused. Dylan 03-07-2001, 03:57 PM Forgot to add: The above site was so popular that an anon mail was sent every 2 to 5 seconds. Over 90% of the people that the mails were sent to, they complained about continuous harassment. Duster, that's true, but how do you control people? [Edited by Dylan on 03-07-2001 at 03:08 PM] Duster 03-07-2001, 06:40 PM Oops. I forgot something. Thank you, pyng, that did the trick for me. Dylan 03-07-2001, 08:08 PM huh? Duster 03-07-2001, 08:57 PM pyng was the one that told me about sneakemail.com. Go get some sleep, Dylan. I think you need it. Dylan 03-07-2001, 09:08 PM sleeping.gif What makes ya think that? heehee... It's just after 3am here. I still have another 4 hours to go. |
