Have you ever asked family members(uncles, aunts, cousins), to invest in one of your companies, or provide somewhat of seed funding? If you did ask, did they give you anything? I was talking to this guy on AIM, that I talk to occasionaly, he is going to ask his entire family to invest into a new start-up company. If he were my family, I would problably lend him some money. Just curious, have you ever sought after your family as investors?
I've had family members offer to fund my ideas.
But, I've never taken up the offers.
Nope. I just invested first, then asked for help later on . . .
Seriously that was years ago, at my age, I don't dare.

My mother (my Dad too but not so much) always helped me a lot. When I have children one day I will do the same for THEM.

I've had my grandmother help out with some computer equipment, business software (MYOB, etc) etc. but I've never asked - it was an offer.

I've had offers, but never accepted. It's good to know they're there, if needed though. :D

I learned a long time ago....don't do business with family and friends. There may be exceptions but a lot of times it ends badly and the relationship can suffer.

Money & Blood don't mix....
A good friend told me that a long time ago and, I think it's one of the smarter things he's ever said...

No,
I plan to to start on its own and run on its own. I do not want to mix my family into this.
