I am looking for some ways to increase my website visitors.( it is a web hosting company )
I added my hosting name to some hosting directories but it seems it is not enoughs, so
1-what is the best frees way to increase the visitors of the hosting company in your idea?
2-if i decided to pay for advertisements what it the best place to advertise and how much the price almost is ?

Do a quick search across the forums, theres a few topics on this and I think a few tutorials too... :) With shared web hosting, I recently found that word of mouth and local advertising has been best (such as a newspaper ad) - though, that's for me.. it may differ!

Need to do SEO and targeting few effective keywords from your niche, also local marketing with some offline promotion will be good for start over.

SEO is the best deal here, but at the same time it requries long time to give results.
PPC is a good way also (not sure about google but Yahoo is good enough)

adwords directed at the clientele you want would be good but make sure you are directing it eaxactly at the people you want.
like locality or terms or thingslike.

Local ad can get you a good number but that depends on what kind of ad you give like the paper that you advertise in or the magazine etc.

A while back I managed to rank first under "webhosting" on Google. That gave me about 60 customers per month for free (less than you may expect under such a keyword but not bad anyway)... I had found a very good way to boost my ranking (of course I am not going to reveal my secret). Unfortunately I somehow dropped down in the list : (

I also paid a lot of money to advertise on search engines and webhosting directories. I got about the same results from most different sources but right now I am not sure if you can still make money since the big companies are all selling those insane 1000 GB/1000 GB plans. I am going to try soon anyway but I wouldn't be surprised if the market was really dead now.

Hi, i am new in this forum, can you tell me what are SEO and PPC?

About big companies, I believe that they over sell disk space and bandwidth. There are more than 90% of clients on the servers that uses less than 10% of server recourses. I don't know if it is right or not, but they make money.:)
Another question, do you have any experiences on the time of advertising, for example is it better to advertise at weekends, the beginning of the month, or with season we should advertise more??

nothing is free in this world, specially clients (until u get word of mouth). the best way is to spend some money on google adwords. if done right, its worthy.
