I mean they seem to have a very attractive pricemodel for resellers but because I am far a way from them (geographically)....

I would like to know more about them:

- How many people do work for them
- Do they host a lot of domains
- Are they professionals

with other words

While I have heard nothing of them, something seems shady. I would move with caution when signing up with them from the looks of what they offer.

Once I almost signed up with nomonthlyfees, but decided against it for the same reason you are, it's hard to tell. But to be honest, they are still around, and have been around longer then WHT. I don't know about the "pre-paying" thing for accounts. Doesn't sound good, especially since your looking at a $2000.00 deposit. If you somehow could get customers then don't cancel their accounts (we all wish), it would be perfect... but if for the first 6 months you only have 2 customers, you've blown a lot of money...

I would go with a more reputable company for reselling. Or at least a lesser known one, that you don't have to pre-pay for.

I really think you can beat their pricing. In fact I know of one company who I started reselling with before I purchased my own server. Their tech support is excellent, their reseller control panel allows you to do so much more then just create accounts. You can delete, suspend, etc.

I am already reseller - and what I have to say until now is that I think there is something not as good as it should....

The pricmodel would be interesting...when you think you have enough customers you can reach an interesting pricerange.....

The problem is that - beside the technical part from alabanza that is not bad - the company itself seems not to be as big as it seems..... and example:

They mentioned that they would have an "emergency hard- and softwareupgrade" a couple of days ago (should start last monday)....what can be an emergency...maybe less place on the hardsik or bad softwarerelease (whatever)....

The thing is that this upgrade was postponed last tuesday for "at least 72h" - then I heard nothing anymore and because they did not answers my mails I called them and made them clear that:

- we have to know what you change and when so that we can inform our customers....

- we found out that they change also the NOC (emergency-upgrade??)

Wondering about that I told them that when they change the NOC they should informa us about the infrastructure including software (controlpanel and so on) - so that we could maintain our onlinedocumentation....Over that go to another NOC would have the effect that customers get new IP-Adresses (maybe they should know it if they work with IP-Adresses in scripts) and that we should know exactly when they make the copies from the sitecontent (to prevent our customers from loss of date in case of changes after the copy => very important also if they have onlinetransactions with databases :)

They seem very impressed about my questions and a couple of minutes later they sent a mail to the resellers where they "informed"........UPgrades for resellers starts on monday at 9:00 PST......and that was the whole "information".......cooooooooooooooool

Until know nothing happened and I still did not get further answers or a sign of cooperation.....

The most bad thing in the whole story is that you have to prepay the accounts......I am not very sure but it seems to be a bad story and as it seems to be at the moment (we all know things can change) - I would nobody recomend to sign their - not as customer nor as reseller....
