Apparently the owners of this house (civil war era) had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war.

Evidently she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in
anticipation him returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits. Long story short, this photo is claimed as evidence to be her.

It took me a few moments to find it, but when you do it really stands out. Like one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table.

Best not to focus too much on one spot.
Look around the table and toward the window. And turn up your volume all the way, you can hear an odd
whispering sound.....

Yeah I seen that ages ago - scared the pants off of me :)

I used to life in a house that I swear was haunted. We moved in and all weird things happened - stereo would turn itself on, change channels, CD player would open up by itself, doors would open up by themselves, etc.

It was really freaky - several times at night both my mum and sister thought they saw an old man in the house - I never seen him though.

We lived there for a year - and then moved out. All the electronics that used to play up worked perfectly when we moved out a year or so later and never done any of the strange things again.

hehe that house looks to modern to be a cival war era house with those people who won't let you make houses that are over 100 look 'modern.' It always freaked me out when my computer turned on by itself at 2 O'Clock in the morning, then I realized I had it set to do that.

imagine going through this thread, all alone in your house... At midnight... With nobody in sight for miles...

Any chance that your sister/mum didnt want to move there be4 you actually moved in?

Actually, my mum chose the house - so she certainly wanted to move in.

It was happening (electronics stuff, etc. that I seen) whilst mum and my sister weren't at home as well as to them when I wasn't at home.

Anyway, I didn't take too much notice... was a little freaky to begin with but you get used to it :D

I remember a story where electronic things turn on and off. The lights would flash, and the phones would ring. There would be a ghostly voice on the other end.
They had those "para" people studying it, and even the FBI were watching the house because of the electronics being used. They were calling it the electronic terrorist.

How embarassing to the parents, when the FBI told them the calls were comming from within the house.
It turned out to be the 12 year old son.
When asked how he got the lights to turn off, he said he just flipped the switch.
For the appliances, he flipped the breaker switches in the basement.
For the phone, he used an extension.

I think I first saw this file here in WHT ..
It got me :eek:
