I bought a Canon digital camera and need a good browser to download the pictures. I heard the one which is ZoomBrowser from Canon is not that good. This is why I need some help finding a good browser for Win XP Pro. Anyone?

Does it use a regular flash card for photo storage? If so what I would recomend is a simple flash card reader to connect to your PC for around 20 dollars. Just plug it in via USB and it recgonizes your card as a "drive" in windows where you can browse the contents in windows explorer or whatnot. No extra crappy bloated software to install just to get the files from your camera.

i have a canon powershot s110.. i just use the zoom browser that comes with it.. or sometimes i just download it through My Computer.. windows xp picks the camera up and you can access it just like a regular drive. I think zoom browser is fine... it seems to work perfectly for me.

I've got a Canon Powershot A10 with USB interface. I don't use the ZoomBrowser - I didn't even bother installing it.
I use the Windows Scanner and Camera Wizard (Control Panel -> Scanners and Cameras) for quick imports to jpg (72dpi), or when I want to work with them directly - they import straight into Photoshop (or most other imaging software) using the TWAIN interface at 300dpi.
It works great - but the methods supported really depend on your particular camera.

While I personally have no problem with zoombrowser either (maybe I have an updated version which is more stable?), that breeze one looks pretty nifty for $35.

Zoombrowser is pretty good in my book. I use it for both my Canon and Sony digicam. It works for Win XP Pro.

The version I have is 3.1 -is that older or newer than your version digiguy? I just noticed that you 'heard' it wasn't good. It really isn't all that bad if you've not tried it.

I have no stability problems with my ZoomBrowser - works fine (I have ZoomBrowser EX 2.6.0.11) - so I wonder what versions are unstable.
