I need a cheap Windows Host my major things I need is that I can create multiple users and manage them. As well that I can access a remote desktop, I will only be using it for a remote desktop.

So I'm guessing I will have to get a Windows VPS or Dedicated Server. I would also REALLY like to try it out if a web host wouldn't mind doing it for me. It would make me 10x eager to purchase as well would make that web host my top priority in signing up with. Thanks!

Just a little insider on what I will be using this for...
For me and my family to be able to have a remote computer available, programs won't be installed on it just files will be loaded or used. So probably not more than a couple gigs of space will be used (if that.).

Probably not much chance of getting a free VPS trial. Certainly not a free dedicated server trial. What is your actual budget?

I think you are more in need of Data Storage rather than running a web application. In that case, you can have a look at box.net. They have very good data storage solution available and you wouldn't need to manage the server.

Well I don't really want a trial but I just want like 30 seconds to take a look at the interface to see if its what I was thinking it was going to be.

My budget was hopefully less than $50 if possible because I won't be using much resources at all.

And I want the windows interface as I would like to seamlessly be able to edit documents and such but thanks for the idea Sure123.

I am really not sure to understand. If you need Remote Desktop connection, yes, you will need a VPS or dedicated server. Then after connecting to it, you will have screen just likes your computer. Which interface do you want to have a look?

I want to see the management features such as creating users and such and just hte mian features, as I still I have by doubts about the whole thing and it will help me push to my decision.

Remote desktop won't help you to create users and hosting accounts (unless you want to create windows user account).
A reseller package will come with control panel which allows you to create different user accounts, hosting plans, hosting accounts ...

A couple points that others have mentioned:

1. Absolutely no shared host will give you RDP (remote desktop) access. That's unheard AFAIK.

2. On a VPS the tools you create users with are the same tools you have on your Windows PC right now. There's no "special" GUI, it's right right click "My Computer", select "Manage" and add users. You then typically will assign those users NTFS permissions to folders for things like FTP access.

Your alternate choice would be to use an FTP application other than the default Windows one that will help you to setup users. FileZilla server is free, but I would recommend Serv-U Standard ($69 for 1 domain and up to 100 users) or Gene6 Server ($49 for 2 domains). More elaborate versions are available if needed.

You can easily find VPS providers for $50/month that will support this, but keep in mind you'll have a fairly limited amount of RAM, so you won't be using the VPS for any heavy applications (FTP is not). Also, VPS's are almost always UNMANAGED in general and especially at that price. You'll be on your own, so be prepared to spend time learning / researching (buy a good book on Windows 2003) and make sure you ready to make that commitment.

I'm not sure anyone here really understands what you are looking for.

You need to describe what the users are supposed to be able to do and why you need a "Windows" interface to do it.

By "Windows interface" do you really mean a "point and click interface"?

For example if you simply want to be able to allow people access to storage space for uploading and downloading files then there are plenty of hosts that can offer you a plan that has unlimited FTP accounts which you can manage via a "point and click" website interface called a "control panel".

If you want to actually run applications from within the server operating system (Like word or excel etc) then you WILL need either a VPS or a dedicated server that allows terminal services access (Remote desktop).

Basically I want the Remote Desktop so that it is like having a desktop where you can access where ever you go and its like having your own personal computer wherever you go with an internet connection.

Have you thought about buying a laptop...... Sorry couldn't resist. :)

Seriously you would either need a VPS or Dedicated server.

Alternatively if you have a Windows XP Pro PC at home and an always on DSL line then you could configure it to receive Remote desktop connections (RDC) and then you could connect to it from anywhere with a Remote desktop app.

I don't mind the monthly costs, and I don't have the hardware and software to set that type of RDC up.

go for dedicated server . godaddy, hostgater and liquidweb.. choose any one from those..
