I used to use CCBill about a year ago for processing hosting. But I wasn't very fond of their program. Like when I wanted to add a plan I had to edit the hard coding of CGI and stuff. Other than that I was pleased.
Well, currently I just signed up and I am amazed!! They have changed their program completely.. there are so many features and everything is so easy to use. Even better!!... their support it amazing!! By the time I signed up, they installed the files onto my server within 5-10 minutes. Then, I sent them a support request and they replied within about 2 minutes.. with a HUGE response with throughly explained what to do.
I would recommend CCBill to everyone... they charge no setup fee or monthly fee and have 24/7 support. They are probably one of the best CC processors out there and should be recognized.

Except for this
Fees
You will pay a transaction-processing fee to CCBill of 14.5% (13.5% for CWIE customers) of the amount charged to the customer's credit card or bank account for a membership ID. CCBill will deduct this fee before payment to you.
In addition to the transaction-processing fee, CCBill will hold a reserve for chargebacks and refunds, and ACH returned items. Currently the reserve is 5% of the total amount charged to the customer's account, or credit card, and is held for a minimum of six months. The amount of reserve and the period of time it is held can be changed by CCBill at anytime if CCBill's merchant bank increases its reserve requirements, or in CCBill's sole discretion it is necessary to cover potential refunds, ACH returned items, and chargebacks. CCBill may also require an additional security deposit for high volume accounts.

So? 14.5% isn't bad seeing how they're service is exellent.

Are you kidding?
Let's assume $5000 processed per month, which would work out to 555 transactions @ $9.00 each
With CCbill, your monthly cost at 14.5% would be $725.00, or $1.31 per transaction
Now, take those same numbers through your run-of-the-mill merchant account/getway setup. Let's assume 3.5% discount and $.35 per transaction overall (which are actually kind of high, but will do for the purposes of this example):
5000 x .035 = 175.00
555x.35 = 194.25
-----------------------------
$369.25
Now, add in a $20 gateway fee and another $30 in miscellaneous charges, and you're right at $419.25, or $.76 per transaction.
That leaves the question, is CCbill $300 per month better than the competition?

Why not use HostCharge? $0 setup. $0 per transaction fee. $0 monthly. 8% is what they take.
Of course they have other plans too, which offer lower percentages.
I personally had excellent service from them so far. I got replies to my emails in minutes! Good Stuff!

CCBill is strong, they take care of everything, tons of features, support and they take all of the risk away on chargebacks. Their rates seem to be in line with all the major comp...Ibill, Epoch etc...
I will admit I am bias.... they have an interest in my organization, but I have nothing to do with CCBill. From what I have seen, their technology and security is amazing. Really neat stuff even if your not a tech geek...
