View Full Version : AIT Hijacked my Domain

I was a reseller for AIT (Advanced Internet Technologies.) AIT is notorious for their billing errors and claimed that I owed them money that I did not owe. Last January, After trying in vain to work out THEIR accounting errors, I finally wised up and moved my business to another host company.

It is now eight months later. Without so much as an e-mail, phone call, fax, or telegram, my domain name has been hijacked by AIT! I guess I made the error of registering my domain name through AITDOMAINS.COM.

My question to you is this: Although there is a statement in their TOS that they will hijack a domain for nonpayment, is this legal? What laws (if any) have been broken? How do I get my domain name back from these predators?

Thanks.

Dayton

youd have to have proof that the billing error was on their part.

I do. I even have written proof from an Executive Officer with AIT.

This is from one of their reps:

Mark,
As a long time customer, we greatly appreciate your feed back and specific follow up and you've provided below.

We have investigated your concerns and found the following:

Your refund request was submitted by the Team Leader responsible for your account in December. This refund request was for $123.00 I found that this was not applied to your account correctly. After further investigation and a per line item review your credit due was found to be $166.75. We have credited this to your account."

The problem is, they NEVER credited this to my account. Then they have the gall to claim that I owe them $700 more dollars after I left them. If they would just have done what they had promised, I would not have had to leave.

Stay away from AIT. And look for a new website coming soon... aitsucks.net!
