Hey everyone,

I've been looking through hundreds of reseller offers from outrageous oversellers to overpriced and featureless plans. I've narrowed my choices down to two companies: Qoozz Hosting and FrozenMidnight Hosting.

I plan on using the reseller to host client websites (small static sites with some possibility of CMS). Space-wise, I'm looking for 2-5 GB and 80-120 GB of bandwidth.

I'm looking at Qoozz's plan as follows:

2 GB Space
30 GB Bandwidth
WHM
Private Name Servers

$5 / m or $55 / yr.

And FrozenMidnight's plan as follows:

10 GB Space
80 GB Bandwidth
WHM
Private Name Servers

$8 / m or $80 / yr.

They both boast a community forum (which I have taken to be a sign of a adaptive, response, and caring host). And they both don't seem to oversell (from what I can figure).

My questions are:

Anyone have experience with either of the above?
Good or bad experience? Examples?
Reliability of service?
Customer support?
Friendliness and timeliness of staff?
Other hosts I should look at?

I can't speak for Qoozz, but I'm not a big fan of FrozenMidnight. When I was with them, the support was terrible, and there were quite a few outages.

Qoozz have hosted my websites (inc. www.westcoastaftershock.com (http://www.westcoastaftershock.com)) for a few years now, and they have been superb. Some of my websites are high traffic, and big company sites. I can honestly say that I have never witnessed any downtime, no slow server speeds, and support (noticebly from; Leslie) has been 100% satisfactory.

Go with Qoozz - I certainly havent regretted it, or even thought about changing from them.

Regards,
Chris.

I guess, the best way will be to have a quick search in the forum. I remember those names in these forums recently, but cannot remember what it was. I am sure you will be able to find more if you make a quick search here.

For me, those prices look too cheap for a reseller account. I will be suspicions to go with a package like that.
You need to remember that you will get for what you pay. So I would suggest you to do a detailed research before you sign up with them.

Well I've done several searches here at WHT, but all the reviews are either too vague or are done within less than a month of using the service.

Hmm, well I guess then MidnightHosting is overselling looking at your plans and pricing. I was figuring they'd have some profit if they rented dedicated boxes at $80-120 a month (cele/pentium 4, 80-160 GB HDD, 1-2 TB BW). Or should I be figuring that hosters will get dual-core/multi-cpu boxes?

Are there any other suggested hosters that offers a reseller plan like the above and is less than $10 a month?

There are many factors that affects profit. It is not only the cost of the servers, but other factors like support or selection of DC etc also plays a role.
Say you are getting a few hundred GB of disk space with a few $, but when you lodge a support ticket it takes 6 or 7hours for a response, what you will think?
So they get less or almost no profit from teh server space, but they will gain from teh support.
Another company with a higher price will be investing more in support guaranteeing a 10 minutes or 20 minutes response times round the clock.

So you shouldn't just judge the hosts with the price. Keep in mind that you will get for what you pay. When you go for cheaper and cheaper prices, you are compromising on something else and in most cases it will be reliability.

Right, I do understand that. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money since college is sucking away most of it. So I'm stuck with budget type plans.

Well, I understand that. But when you are making money from that you need to invest according to that too. I guess you are looking for a reseller account for hosting your clients.

Any way, I think you can give them a shot and see how it goes.

Our first set of servers are leased from slhost. Just to add further on this point, our subsequent servers are from theplanet and layeredtech. For all those who are wondering, all new reseller accounts will be placed on quad core servers which are leased from softlayer.

I went to the "Qoozz" site and looked around. I clicked on the part below the header that says "web directory" and a box came up saying the site was "hacked by zeuss" I don't think I'd go with them at all.

I've personally check it out and can't seem to locate the problem you have been specifying. Are you certain that this is coming from the site itself or is it from another URL?

I sent them an email when I saw it,They must have fixed it quick. It really surprised me to see something like that from a hosting service.

The site is running solely on flash modules and it would be quite impossible for such a situation to arise. Nonetheless, we'll let others verify for themselves if this situation occurs.

I would recommend Qoozz. I am having a large number of accounts spread across different hosts, after searching carefully and testing them first. This time i needed a ffmpeg enabled plan so i decided to go with Qoozz. Although i am with them for less than a month i am very satisfied. I started with their basic plan to test the service and then i upgraded to a high bandwith custom plan. Server performs great and support tickets are answered in less than 15 minutes. Sinnce my site hosted there is adult related i can't post it here but i would be happy to verify it if requested.

I have been considering Qoozz and was speaking with Leslie about spreading the accounts across different servers... what exactly do they do [if you know]?

I have only been with qoozz for a while and all i have to say you will not regret going with them. i had my fair share of hassles with other resellers but Leslie's support is fantastic and they will go the extra mile if there is a problem ;)

Hello....a bit of feedback on web design.
We can't see the "Enter" button in the home page when using FireFox browser. Quite a few people use Fire Fox browser. May require a fix, just check it up! IE it appears to be ok.

I am currently with Qoozz and I think their ticket support is responding fairly fast especially since I am on Asia timezone.
