Hi, I'm looking for free programs like Adobe illustrator. Does anyone know any good free photo editing or illustrating programs?
Thanks!:D

Free programs without nag screens can be found here:
http://nonags.com

They should have a number of photo editing programs to choose from.

GIMP if you need a lot of features like PhotoShop has, Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) for basic cropping, resizing, enhancing etc.

Another vote for the GIMP here, does everything I need it to do :) I wonder if it will work out for you!

It has to be GIMP, you can't really go wrong. I'd probably still use it even if you had to pay for it.

GIMP, hands down, FTW, forever and ever, Amen. It's all I've used for the last six years.

Edit: I was going to turn this post into something that rhymed. You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.

Be a professional, buy the complete Adobe suite and deduct it off your taxes.

Buying a particular application, especially when there are others available, that cost zero dollars, but accomplish much the same with an acceptable degree, doesn't make one a professional.

I don't think that anyone here would say that the Adobe applications are not super awesome but if you can grab the GIMP, learn it and get the job done with it, then by all means go hard. This doesn't make you less of a professional.

Talk to your accountant, they will be able to explain it better than I did.

I was completely and totally wrong in my earlier post regarding a tax deduction.
