Hey everyone,

Looking for some experts here.

I have servers with Nocster. I am wanting to offer my members an account for a very low cost.

I was wanting to offer them the addon domain feature and let them host an extra 10 domains free.

The extra domains is just a directory so its not going to add huge bandwidth right? I mean if they don't get much traffic to their main site they won't to these either really.

My main question is, if I keep the accounts at 300 clients per server will I take up the allotted 300gb bandwidth?

Is their an "average" what a server with 300 clients usually run in bandwidth?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

don't understand your question. if you limit your customers's bandwith you can know how much we'll be using...

Hi Alain,

I'm wanting to know approx. how much bandwidth 300 clients will use. I know there is no set figure, but I'm looking for an average.

One other thing..

If all 300 clients DO use the extra 10 domains feature, that would be 3000 domains on a single server.

Can Cpanel/WHM even handle that many domains?

Help a total newbie here please ;-)

Yup, but will the server handle it?

Hi Darth,

I doubt it..

Well..looks like I figured out it is a bad idea all by myself.

I thought a lot of people posted here?

Personally I don't know of many web servers that can serve 300 gb of data without streaming audio or video. If you are thinking of serving up 300 gb with just ordinary traffic your server will bog down. Granted the amount of memory in your system will be crucial. Apache will have a TON of sessions open with that much traffic in and out.

how many users on 1 server is considered normall?
i know it depends on the sites.. but with your long experience can you give me any estimation ?
