View Full Version : Beware Newbies: Chris - Innohosting

Just wanted to warn people Chris from Innohosting is a nice guy. :D I jumped the gun by signing up with them after reading the deal posted in the reseller offers. I messed up and did not realize that the offer was only for refugees. The posted answers to questions posted in the offers section were unclear (to me anyway), so I ended signing up with them. The unbranded WHMCS sold me and the upgrade to the next plan was a plus.

Well after signing up, I read the forums at their website and realized that I wouldn't qualify for a promotion. :( Thus, I canceled my account. Chris was nice enough to offer me the free upgrade but unfortunately no unbranded WHMCS so I declined. I am hoping for a good X-Mas time deal. He was professional throughout my tickets and returned my money without question and within 24hrs.

My newbie lesson here: Ask questions before signing up and double check to make sure the offers apply to you.

I hope to sign up with them again even if I will be considered a "return" customer. I just hope the promotions will apply. :)

Thats kinda odd.. Why turn down business.. ya-know?

I would of thought, why not honor it. Heck, he may be out $5.00 for the license but who would have known what kind of relationship it could have turned into :(

Hrm...your post makes him out to be a good guy but the topic makes it look otherwise. I'm confused here.

Agree, seeing the title I also thought that your experience was negative.

Quite an attention-grabbing thread. Made me even chuckle. :)

Quite an attention-grabbing thread. Agreed. :)

Why turn down business.. ya-know?That is a point, though I kinda' like that they didn't go after the sale, at all costs. After all, it would open up the gate for abuse of their offer. If everyone would get the special, then it would stop being a refugees-only deal.

" Chris from Innohosting is a nice guy. :D "

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for the compliments! I'll be sure to let Chris know :) He has been working extremely hard as of late and staying up countless hours helping customers out. I'll make sure he knows his dedication and hard work has not gone unnoticed..

In response to why we didn't allow this offer to new customers. It is all part of strategically planning our promotions. We do spend a lot of time in planning out each promotion and people have come to know that when we do a promotion, we do a good promotion (hence the OP wanting to wait for another one).

It's not always about attracting as many customers as you can, but also making sure you are attracting the type of customers you want (in this case refugee's from other hosts) and ensuring the promotion has the desired effect. In this case, I can happily say it has. The amount of returning customers we have had as a result of this promotion has been exceptional.

In this case, we are targetting existing resellers that are not happy with their existing host to move over to InnoHosting and experience the difference in service & reliability. We also have to look into what resources we have to accomodate new customers and what resources we have to accomodate migrating customers. Since a lot of things are humming along nicely, a lot of techs are available to handle migrations of accounts and fixing any migration issues that crop up.

We will soon be launching our UK/Europe hosting soon, so we'll most likely launch a promotion for new customers then as well.

Thanks again Kyle :)

Its always good to hear good words. :)
Good job Chris and InnoHosting. keep it up.

It is true that the subject gives an opposite sense.

I had this whole witty diatribe about how Chris is too nice to be doing support (east coast style) but I figured some people would not get the humor so instead I'll just say that in my interactions with Chris he has been very professional and knowledgeable.

I guess my post wasn't too clever. :D I just want to share my experience which I see many doing. This is a very nice forum and I am glad I found it. Other places have such bias reviews and this looks like the only place on the net that have actual real posted experiences. The more experiences shared the stronger, the better this place will be.

1. What is a refugee defined as?

2. Rameen - Are there any xmas specials in the works?

Thanks in advance!

1. What is a refugee defined as?

Anyone that is already with an existing webhost and wants to move to InnoHosting is considered a "refugee".

2. Rameen - Are there any xmas specials in the works?

Of course :)

Expect them to be available from mid December and it will run until the end of December.

EDIT: /me needs to refresh before submitting.

Thanks guys! I am not totally unhappy per say with my current host, I just don't get the "professional" feel when dealing with them. Every time I call for support, I either hear a cat in the background or a child crying. Things have been good for the two years I have been with them, but in case things go sour, I want a reputable company to deal with. I will post the name of the hosting provider after I move, due to the fact that I found them here.

I have moved to Innohosting last week and I am extremely happy with the kind of service that they are giving. I have dealt with Chris in most of my tickets and he has always been professional and HONEST in his responses. More power to INNOHOSTING and to Chris and Rameen as well.

I don't post often, but I have to weigh in here. I signed up with Innohosting a few months ago. Thanks to Chris and Rameen, I accomplished more over one weekend than I was able to do with my previous host in two months. Their response time on tickets has been wonderful and always resolved the problem. I never felt like I was dealing with someone working from a script.

What do you mean by "unbranded" WHMCS? This might be important to me, too.

Jere

He's talking about a version of the WHMCS license that doesn't display "powered by WHMCS" at the bottom of all the pages. Hence, the unbranded.
