Our team is developing a website development tool similar to citymax, yahoo store, homestead, etc.

Basically a tool to create a website and add web applications such as shopping cart, calendars, forms.

We need BETA testers and eventually ISP looking to resell this type of package to their hosted clients.

If interested, please email me at dustinyu@elektrodelica.com

This is a very dynamic and somewhat more advanced system compared to the basic website builders.

Have a good one,

Dustin

Which platform does it run on?

It's platform independent, entirely web-based, so you don't have to worry about compatibility. If you have a web browser with javascript, it should work.

I'll keep posting stuff, this should take a week or so to find a good number of ISPs to beta.

Thanks,

Dustin

Sorry, you might not have understood my question. The server has to have something installed on it in order for this type of application to run. Which language is it written in? Perl, PHP, ASP, Java ???

blacknight,

It's written in ASP (Active Server Pages), JSP, and PHP. It is an entirely ASP (Application Service Provider) solution, so you guys won't have to worry about installing anything on your servers.

Does this make more sense...

Thanks,

Dustin

Yes:D
As I've got a Linux box I needed to know what was behind it.

There is an editing component that requires IE. Should a requirement to use IE 5+ be used for this app?

what percentage of your potential users use IE and percentage that don't?

Thanks,

Dustin

As long as you make it clear it shouldn't be a problem, though personally I am very much against anything that is browser specific.

blackknight,

I guess I will have this feature in IE, but not in other browsers. Making IE a requirement seems too restricting.

I'd agree with you on that.

To whom this may concern,

Thanks for your interest in beta testing our web development software. Since we are still in development, we are doing alpha testing within our own organization first. There will be two testing options for you:

Alpha - The website builder portion - basic template selection, content creation, publishing.

Beta - The website builder with the web application components - the above with some or all of the components: shopping cart, calendar, live chat support, etc.

Let me know which you would like to participate in. For example, if you would like to participate in the full system, when it is almost ready, then that would be the Beta. If you don't mind getting alot of bugs, then that would be Alpha. Alpha is really where all your input is integrated into our systems.

I am in immediate need of a handful of people interested in the Alpha. It's messy, but will be built around your suggestions. I will need webhosts that use IE (not Netscape) for the ALPHA.

I've received your emails, but I'd like to see if anyone can respond to me soon.

Thanks,

Dustin

Right now, I am in immediate need of ALPHA testers. drop me an email at wtdy1@wt.net, with your contact information.
