Hi,
I was wondering how everybody else is pricing domain name registrations these days? We are offering $9.99/yr for moset domain name extensions... Is that too high or too low? The margin is low for sure.:o

$10 seems to be around par for the course for domain registrations... honestly I believe that if domain names are not your primary business you shouldn't fret over the pricing too much, and if you divide it out the difference between $10/yr and $9/yr the total savings for the customer is a whooping 8 cents a month. Unless if you are positioning yourself to seriously undercut the competition I would be inclined to raise the price to around $11.95 - I don't think it would make much of an impact on sales volume overall.

sounds good to me honestly i think the whole internet communitys overpriced for competition so whatever you price even higher doesnt matter as long as you can eat and sleep at liveable wages

True, but yet us customers still bargain shop for the lowest price :D

And remember for much of us, domain selling is the secondary part of webhosting.

I don't know, places like domains4you.com are selling them for 9.22.. Your price seems to be a tad high, but still in the range of a good price. Depends on what you will be selling with the domain name as well possibly?

You also have to look at it like this. The economy in the USA is decreasing. We are loosing value on the dollare daily since the start of this war (but we will not go there). So as the dollar weakens, companies need to raise prices to maintain costs or else they simply don't make enough $$$$.
I have a feeling that the economy will balence itself back out tand the dollar will raise again and we will go back to lower prices.
