To ALL Moderators and Members,

What do you see in my signature?

Is it Four lines or Five lines?

I was told it was five lines and I changed it, I ask the same moderator back but no reply, so I have to ask you guys as I'm running 1280X800 WideScreen Monitor.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

So its ok for me to use the signature?

Harzem

It is 4 lines on 1024*768. But it is at the limit. You might consider removing the "powered by" text (so just keep Google and Trend Micro names there) just to be safe.

Ok then. Thanks. ;)

Well, he keeps updating it. :P

So, although it looks fine now, it might not the next time someone reads this thread.

Haha! I update it to follow the rules besides making it look attractive. ;)

BTW, can I promote my toolbar here? or is it also 'illegal'?

Hey JLHC,

The first line Earth Explode Toolbar is not looking good, use regular font and format.

Just a thought.

What do you mean by "not looking good"?
Not attractive?

Any suggestions?

I mean its thick, not clean, people with weak sight may not be able to read it.

Compare it with other's signature like boonchuan & SoftWareRevue have nice, clean, simple and readable/legible.

What about posting a screenshot or link to one of what they are seeing at whatever resolution, at 2560 x 1600 I see 4 lines.

I think the rules ought to be changed - 1024x768 isn't a common resolution anymore.

You're right people often resoltions greater than 1024x768 now, but that actually works in their favour, the higher the resilution the more likely they will comply with our sig rules.

1024*768 , it is indeed 5 (using firefox)
1024*768 , it is 4 (using IE7)
1280*1024 +, 4 in both

My guess is that the mod that saw the sig was using Firefox and said it was against the rules. I'd post screenshots, but my main monitor (WS) isn't set to 1024x768, the secondary is.

No one is going to read all that anyway, my advice, just shorten each line down so you KNOW there won't be an issue.

Actually, the latest stats (http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp) show its usage at 54%.

Running at 1680 x 1050 and I see of course 4 lines.

Interesting how the 4 line rule can be "sort of" circumvented in this way..

This is sort of a 'loophole' for the WHT rules.
Its not standerdise and specific enough for others to follow, as we are all different.
It depends on a lot of factor, which includes monitor resolution, browser, widescreen or not, etc..

There is no circumventing if you read the rules.
Must be kept to a maximum of four lines when viewed at 1024x768 resolution using the horizontal postbit.
Have you taken a look through that resolution yet?

"Notifier - News Feeds" is on a line by itself, so those who use █ in their sigs should be aware that it *can* look like a dog's breakfast to those on a lower resolution.

I was actually referring to the feature which stops you from adding so much text that it will result in more than 4 lines. Not referring to actually any loopholes.
