Hi folks,

I have an old (i think so) CacheRaQ. Anybody knows if it is possible to modify it to a "normal" Cobalt RaQ?

There were CacheRaq 2s, 3s, and 4s. If it was a 3 or 4 (AMD chip), you can convert it into a modern system with any other OS -- Raq4 (not recommended), raq 550 (also not recommended), or CentOS+BlueQuartz (from StrongBolt or elsewhere). If it is a 2 (MIPS chip), you may be able to run (e.g.) Debian Linux on it.

To answer your question... Yes it is possible to turn it into a very stable, very secure, and very safe normal Cobalt RaQ...

If it's a CacheRaQ1 or CacheRaQ2 unit you would use the RaQ2 iso and if it's a CacheRaQ4 you would use the RaQ4 iso.

Best of all, You can do this all for FREE!
