Has anyone ever had problems with an unauthorized login to your SecurePay merchant account? I have a pre-auth transaction for a very small amount (under $5) to a valid credit card for someone in another country (I’m in the US). I did not create that transaction.
Our website does not have any payment information on it. Customers receive a link from me to the SecurePay merchant Customer Payment Form, which only allows them to pay me – not do a pre-authorization. I’ve never given out my password nor written it down.
SecurePay tech support was not too helpful. He was more concerned with whether or not I wanted to cancel the transaction and I didn’t get a sense of concern or urgency that someone had gained unauthorized access to my merchant account. He reset my password and told me to keep an eye on it. I asked if he could see IP addresses of those who logged in, but he said he could not.
I’m pretty nervous about the security of my customer’s credit card information at this point, as well as the lack of concern at SecurePay. Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experience, and how you handled it… Thanks!
