It may be the IP isn't a new one and ARIN just haven't updated their WHOIS for the IP yet, however it has been reallocated to EV1. For example we had an IP which said it was registered to someone called "New Sponsors" and it should have said "BurstNET" but the ARIN WHOIS hadn't updated to reflect the new ownership of the IP address.

Rackshack said they had a big announcement coming Monday, but you have just given the secret away. It will be:

With every dedicated server you get a special feature on your control panel, where you simply click and a pizza of your choice is delivered directly to your computer. It slides out of your floppy drive.

You said that the last hop -- your server -- was the one that said Mary's pizza. During traceroutes, the software gets its hostnames from reverse DNS. And since Rackshack controls the reverse DNS for all their IP addresses, what likely happened is that they had set up rDNS for that IP and then the customer cancelled, and you picked up that IP. A quick trouble ticket asking for new reverse DNS should solve it.

Yeah i think it may take like 4 to 8 hours for the dns root servers to update.
