I signed up with Vortech and am setting up my hosting packages. One part I just can't seem to grasp, even though I've read the manual, is how Instant Alias is supposed to work. I've set up my logical servers and DNS Records and an instant alias, but Ill be darned if I can get it to work. :eek:

It says use to use the format "username.kNNN.domainname" which takes me to an shell entry page. But it doesn't allow me to go beyond the login and password, I keep getting an incorrect login error. For example:

http://jtscoolh.u42.ewebheads.net takes me to a page listing shell entries. Can't get beyond that. It doesn't even appear to look like what the H-sphere manual says it should look like. :confused:

Any help appreciated...

Have you tried contacting Vortech Technical Support? If not, I would make that your first port of call :)

I have contacted them. They have yet to get back to me. I just thought someone here who has experience with the H-sphere panel might be able to give me a little help understanding how Instant Alias works. Am I in the right forum to ask for this type of discussion?

Thanks, I got the reply I needed. Just needed a little nudge in the right direction.

Still working through the manual for H-Sphere. Its not a casual read for me so I still feel a bit lost trying to find all the controls and how it works. ;)

Every ticket we have in out ticket system is cleared out every 12 hours to be sure every one is done unless it just some thing we have to wait on psoft to do.. And they are getting slow.. :(

I would've waited a mnth+ to start up, however I never got a reply and therefore couldn't trust what "might" be ahead :(

The real pisser is after I signed up elsewhere and trashed site
freakin hostcharge (my 2nd choice, since it wasn't auth.net compatible) is now comin out w features tat will make it work w HS.

LOL... You sure you were not sending the tickets to your self on the users side in HS.. I have found like 20 resellers doing that now.. :( They seem to think we get the tickets and they end up sending it to them self..

So HostCharge will be able to work with HS that will be sweet..
