I need some help, i have a Hostgator reseller account and i have chosen to use my custom name servers, so i got in contact with my domain name register and he set it all up for me. The problem im having is it has now been 58 Hours since they were changed and my register takes 8 hours to proper gate the name servers, the only support i get from Hostgator is "please just sit and wait for them to propergate" which on there site clearly states MAY EVEN TAKE 48 HOURS TO PROPERGATE. I recently had the same problem with Trexhost where my custom name servers would not work so they just told me to use their name servers. Would anybody here know what the problem might be?

Probably something's screwed up in the setup but without knowing the domain we can only speculate as to what it might be. At the registrar make sure you've registered the nameservers (not just delegated to them). At the host check your zone file and make sure you have both NS records and A records for ns1 and ns2.yourdomain.com. Also try dnsreport.com for an indication of what's wrong.

Have you tried contacting Hostgator?

yes i have contacted them, but they want nothing to do with me they just say sit back and wait until they have propergated and there time goes up every day yesturday they said it will take some times up to 48 hours now they told me 72 hours and sometimes a week which i dont think is wright some how. and my domain name is jakeswebhosting.com i cannot even log into my WHM or c-Panel to check my DNS records.

You should be able to login to CPanel / WHM through the IP address Hostgator gave you, but since your custom nameservers are still pointing to 75.126.188.27 and 74.86.13.12 - Trexhost IPs - the problem is at your registrar.
