View Full Version : Can you access my website in tera-byte hosting?
iProgram 08-04-2002, 05:17 AM hi all. I can open my homepage but it's too sloooow. Another trouble is that the pop3 server is always time out. What's wrong with it? Perhaps it the problem of my ISP right? If you are using tera-byte's Windows plan, how about yours?
My site at http://www.iProgramDev.com
PS. If you using Windows plan of t-b, can you tell me how to check bandwidth? The log file and Site CP do not work at all :mad:
ho247 08-04-2002, 05:55 AM Your homepage is working fine here (UK), it's loading very fast actually. The problem is probably with your local ISP, so you could try to connect using a different ISP to test the connection. If the problem still happens, you should contact Tera-Byte and ask them to check the mail server.

iProgram 08-04-2002, 06:06 AM What you said is same as the guy's in tera-byte :eek:
But the bandwidth checking sucks.
ho247 08-04-2002, 06:10 AM But the bandwidth checking sucks.Bandwidth checking? Have you tried another ISP? If it *is* your ISP, the problem usually goes away after 24 hours or so.

Helena 08-04-2002, 07:48 AM Hi, I too am hosted with T-B (a Linux VS, though, so unfortunately I can't help you with the bandwidth) and connection to my server has been slow for a few days. The server itself seems healthy. I tried a friend's site (shared account) last night and it was a bit slow as well, so I'm wondering if perhaps T-B are having some network problems?
fantasmic0 08-04-2002, 09:25 AM Hi there ..
Your site opens quite fast here . Australia .
But there is quite significant P/L at about 3-4th last hop , Terrabyte Com .
Hope that helps .
thomor25 08-04-2002, 10:45 AM page loads in about 6 secs for me on dial up on the east coast of the usa
shaunewing 08-04-2002, 10:56 AM Your page takes 9 seconds to load fully here on dialup in Sydney, Australia. I've got a site on a server in the Tera-Byte datacenter and no speed problems to that either.
The last few hops in a traceroute seem to show problems pinging the site, but I get this for the server my site is on as well so it's most likely a router/firewall blocking ICMP/Ping packets.

tdotn 08-04-2002, 11:07 AM I smell 'spam'
Helena 08-05-2002, 12:31 PM Hi Shaun, yes that's the firewall blocking. (I asked them about that earlier.) Connections to my site are great now, though, so whatever it was seems to be fixed now. :-)

Believe me, I know the guys from tera-byte fairly well, and they will never stoop that low and spam forums...;)
VoxKeysGtr 08-05-2002, 06:03 PM Loads up great! I hope it isn't spam. I don't mind helping people, but if they are taking adavantage that would be very low. :)
iProgram 08-06-2002, 07:11 AM Hello all friends, spam? me? :bawling:
~~~~ So, thank you all except tdotn :D
I want to talk with a guy who is using WS plan(Windows hosting) of tera-byte. I want to take a look of the log files of his website.
My log file could not show the bandwidth.
