I've been with Trexhost for about 4-5 months now, and here's my review of the experience I've had.
To give you some background - I've been around the block a few times with hosts and have had 10-15 reseller/dedicated accounts over the years. I currently have accounts at Dathorn, Nocster, DedicatedNow, and Trexhost.
Trexhost is my attempt at consolidating a few reseller accounts I have.
Service - The service is good when you get it. There have been a couple of times when I contacted them and the support emails were lost, but to my knowledge, they always had good reasons for that happening. So, I've given them the benefit of the doubt - besides, we're all human. The staff are very helpful, and James is a good, honest guy.
I'm here writing because recently one of their techs went farther than I expected to help me with a transfer. Trexhost offers transfers for all your accounts, which is a good service, but I only expected them to do so during my initial setup. I mean, why would they bother after they have your business, right?
To date, they've helped me transfer 10+ accounts from various hosts, and the latest was a 6gig beast from Dreamhost. A few of my domains have large galleries on them. Transferring these big sites, as you can imagine, is never fun.
Not only did the tech (Steve P) transfer all of my accounts over from DH, he also gave me hourly updates (because it was such a huge transfer). He also setup my databases for me and edited the php in my gallery script to properly reflect the changed paths. Let me stress that I didn't ask him to do it - so when he updated me to tell me everything was done for me (and that I didn't have to waste any of my own time), I was ecstatic.
This, in my opinion deserves my praise as the best service I've ever had that I didn't pay extra for. So Steve, I hope you read this - thanks much for your help.
My sites see a lot of bandwidth/use and have had no problems with performance.
All in all, I'm a happy camper.
Here's to me not having to write anything bad about them ever :)
Cheers
Al
