The jarring part is there's two fonts mixed in there - a serif font and a sans-serif font. You don't notice it at first, but some part of you does. That's why it doesn't sit right.

It is pretty 'lonely' there though. :) Free service sites need to have a feeling of excitement about them. People need to be thrilled at the opportunity to use your services.
