How many days required to complete domains name transfer ?
from one registrar to another

Is the time required for transfer must be at least 7 days after order , or just a few days, please confirm your experience ?

You need to wait 60 days after you initially register a domain name before your can transfer. My experience, the tranfer from one registrar to another is usually about a 5-7 day process.

It could be as little as 0.04167 day, or 1 hour. Yes, from my first hand experience.

transfers can be as low as few minutes (my lowest was 20mins nameslave ;))

but if you purchase a new domain you can't transfer, you'll have to wait for 60 days before you can

yes depending on the losing registrar if they send you the confirmation email to approve and domain gets transfered out

20 minutes from when you started the process to confirming the domain name's in your gaining registrar account and reflecting in WHOIS? I just read in DNF about someone's transfer being wholly completed in 30 minutes, and I thought that was a record breaker. :D

I just provided some information on time scales for somebody else:

My post basically explains why some transfers are near-instant while others take a week.

Just checked my records:

--------------------
9:35 AM 30-Day Certified GoDaddy.com Expiration Notice

09:53:50 Transfer Request message sent to [Admin Contact]

Owner Confirmation Date 9:58 am
Registry Request Date 9:58 am

10:20:22 Transfer completed successfully.
--------------------

I guess Bashar beat me by 2 mins then. :D I guess it's my fault to have waited more than 15 mins to initiate the transfer, and another 5 mins to acknowledge their (Tucows) email. ;)

i could break it again cuz i initiate it from registry control panel :P and godaddy is one of the fastest guys who send the losing registrar email ;)

frankly speaking, it can be under 60 seconds if the losing registrar sends the email faster :)

Hi!

All depends on How quickly the loosing registrar will approve and the gaining registrar will initiate, So it could be with in 1 hr or 5-7 days!!

Regards,

The losing registrar doesn't have to approve transfers.

If the losing registrar does nothing then the transfer completes automatically five days after it has been initiated in the registry system. It is initiated in the registry system when the admin contact confirms the transfer with the gaining registrar.

Some registrars have a system of actively approving outbound transfers (i.e., they send an approval request to the admin contact, and once the admin contact has responded they will release the domain to the gaining registrar). Other registrars have no such system - transfers from those registrars will always take five days.
