I've readed many posts here to decide registrar. In the end, I think resellerclub fit my require: it's cheap enough, well-known. DNS is not a problem, we have free service. Though eNom is more famous, and crucialwebhost has cheap price too, but I need Privacy Whois.

Now, the question is, which reseller should I choose? Are they all the same, except the price? Is it possible they could hold or lost my domain?
I'm living in China without Credit Card. Though I can use my friend's CC to pay the bill, but for the security reason, it's not a good idea. So I found out a reseller in my country here: supdns.net. The price is not cheap in web page, but I can get NET domains here as $5.6 in my currency.
By the way, is domaincentral.com a reseller of resellerclub too? They have similar gui of supdns, how about their prestige?

Most likly they do. Directi (the owner of ResellerClub) sells there software. The software is called LogicBoxes, and they use it for ICANN Registar's to have a system to register domains to the designited place as need be.

So, you mean both the resellers of resellerclub and some ICANN registars has the same GUI? How to decide the difference? I can't find out the list of resellers in resellerclub's site.

Domaincentral.com is a ICANN acredited registrar. If you dont need Reseller to your customers, Is better price domaincentral.com than resellers of RC in com and org.

About the Reseller Club resellers Some are liars and thiefs and others are safe. Check and good luck.

How do you know domaincentral.com is ICANN acredited? I can't find out ICANN logo in domaincentral.com, they're not in the database of webhosting.info as a registrar either. Also, Whois showed that domaincentral.com was registered in bottledomains.com.au, and will expire on May 2008. It seems a little bit strange...

Yu cannot find one because they are a reseller. The domaincentral listed in http://www.icann.org/registrars/accredited-list.html is for a candian site, which ends in a .ca. The one ur referring to ends in a .com therefor its not.

JFYI, domain resellers usualy can neogiate cheaper prices out, o they are good to go with sometimes

Australian Style Pty Ltd dba auCLUB , only dont match the name with the domain.

Remember THEY are australian, and they have a site for AUSTRALIANS ( auclub.net ) and other for No Aussies. THAT is domaincentral.com , both have the same logo.

They are part of a Corporative and are the owners of blue bottle, too.

domaincentral.ca => namescout.com
auclub.net => domaincentral.com.au

Both of them are ICANN acredited. But I think logo means nothing, so I check their contact infomation. The address and fax number of domaincentral.com, domaincentral.com.au and bottledomains.com.au are the same, it might be a stronger evidence. So chaos it is, how did you know all about this? Never mind please, just to satisfy my curiosity...

Because i have domains registerd via domaincentral and the whois of the reggistrar is the asutalian =P

Anyway, Have much logic because i skip all non usd prices. By the way, the last time i check the icann registrars find around 40 namescout registrars too.... sharing ip , duisplay etc.

By the way, exluding offers and speaking only of DOMAINS I DONT WANT RISK, i am making a progression to moniker & domaincentral.com from the other registrars. ( by price the infos are in dynadot )

And domaincentral.com prices are very very well, and no need the deposito of RC. In Normal prices terms, Rc at best slab you get BAD prices vs domaincentral.com

Licantropo, why did you put a such high value on domaincentral.com? Their price doesn't include DNS service, except renew, transfer, change Whois info, we needn't get touch with them. I, might also you, just demand a good prestige with low price, right?

BTW, seems domaincentral.com only accept paypal...

I value High For Many reasons ( not in priority order )

1 ) Free Privacy
2 ) I LIKE Logicboxes software, the reports of expiration.
3 ) Price is Decent and paypal fees included. No need give CC.
4 ) No Bad reviews about them in any place, similar to RC in that case.
5 ) For me Exist some pluses in Registrars Outside USA for some motives.
6 ) I dont need dns. Normally You can use mydomain.com without problems and get , but really i rarely need tweak my dns.

In few words, as an average 800+ Domain owner, i only have dns tweaked in 3 of them, and many of my domains are parked or pointing to ns1.mydomain.com because are net org and infos of the com domain.

Sorry, i Not Use CC with them, i only use CC in special issues and Moniker, then i am a bad reference of CC issues.

4) They're too small, no bad reviews, no good neither. ;-p
5) I prefer editdns IMHO.

Now, I unstrand why is godaddy: ICANN acredited, big enough, not bad price. It's painful to choose a company...

It's better to find a reseller located in China if you can't pay with credit card or PayPal.
Go to http://www.domainclub.org , ask for what you need, and someone will guide you and find you a good China-based reseller.

Direct I is the parent company and ResellerClub is its unit for its resellers. Direct I has a Solution called as LogicBoxes which is used by some ICANN Accredited Registrar to maintain their Resellers, thus some of the registrars which uses logicBoxes have similar API. This is the reason why some ppl get confuse between resellers of Reseller Club and Registrar who uses its API.

Agree with this statement. They seems started doing good services. 2 years their service left much to be designed.

How come Domain Central offer so cheap domains? is impossible to have domains $6.50....

I think they main business is another one, and remember they have 2 registrar or more, ( no little guys ) and his main currency is AUD. When i ask if they go to change the price last october, they say.. no.
